8 Weeks And Counting
Well today is my official first day back to work in 8 weeks since I tore my Achilles tendon. It shouldn’t be hard to get back into the swing of things because I have been working at home since I came home from the hospital.
How is my foot healing? Not too bad, the doctor said by next week my tendon should be completely repaired and I should not have any issues of prematurely tearing it again. I have small little foot exercises to work on so that I can build back the mobility of my foot which hopefully will also help the swelling too. The swelling isn’t as bad as it was but it still doesn’t match my right foot.
After I get the mobility back in my ankle then I get to go into physiotherapy to rebuild the strength I am assuming in my lower leg. I would hate to have my ankle roll over or my tendon to tear again right?
The past week has been excitingly fun but I won’t get into details with that at the moment. I did manage to see the sunrise on Saturday morning which is something I have not done in a really long time. The pink and orange sky back lighting Golden Ears Mountain in Maple Ridge is just amazing, though I was not able to get a picture of it. Perhaps there will be another time where I can show off the spectacular view of the sleeping giant.
