If you have been wondering why I haven’t been posting very much it is because I recently moved into my new place which is an astonishing 1300 sq feet and I love it. Moving was a bit of a pain at first because after we moved my brother’s things into the new place we went to my storage locker only to find out that they are closed on Canada day! I mean seriously why would my storage place be closed on a holiday? Do not most people move their belongings during a long weekend? I was able to pick up my Sealy Queen-sized bed on the Sunday so that I would at least have a place to sleep.
Luckily on Monday I was able to borrow the 3-tonne truck from work since my storage unit would be open then and we had to take the rental truck back.
Now as you can see from the photo there is a lot of room left in the living room area, enough for a pool table at least! My furniture is a little sparse but that’s what happens when you don’t have much to begin with right?
The kitchen is great! I mean the counter space is better than what I had previously and the appliances are fairly new. Now I just have to buy things to put into the cabinets and refrigerator.
My bedroom is the bigger of the two that are in this place. It looks pretty bare and even with my desk and queen-sized bed there is plenty of room for more things. Perhaps I’ll put something up on the walls to make it a bit more interesting. I know it is hard to see in the picture but the red can on the desk is in fact one of those Buzz Cola drinks you can purchase at your local Kwik-E-Mart, err I mean 7-11 store.
So after two days of moving and a day of unpacking (yes I am not done unpacking everything) today is the first day I have been able to just relax in my new place. Whew!

Thanks! It is a little plain because decorations are slim-to-none but perhaps that will change. I have to get my Robert Bateman painting framed and hung on one of the walls. Well ok it is a print but its a limited edition and signed
Now… I need to work on the fundage for my pool table too! Though I’d rather get out of debt first.

It’s only clean because I haven’t really spent much time in it for the first week. I have been spending a lot of time with a friend while she was in town. We’ll see how clean it stays
