Productivity 501: Review for Prize
Well it seems there is another ‘Review My Site For Stuff’ contest over at Productive Strategies and with most reviews they like to get a feel for how they are doing and where they can improve.
At first impression I am not a big fan of the colour scheme. To me red is an angry colour and with the white text on top of the section headers it seems to be a bit too much contrast. Then again it might be my work’s Samsung monitor.
Also on first read over on the home page I noticed that there are those ‘Continue Reading…’ links which cut the content off a little bit and reminds me of a partial RSS feed. Again this would be another personal preference when it comes to Blogs.
I noticed a couple of the posts are similar to John Chow’s (not a bad thing) and they help you get a feel for who is behind the blog. Working From A Suitcase has some good tips for those who are never at home and always working on the road.
An interesting post of Mark Shead is his post on making a Have-Done List as opposed to a To-Do list. I agree with a couple of the points made like the one about vacations. If you have a To-Do list on a vacation then is it really a vacation? Sure there are things you’ll want to make sure you do but you should just go and relax, do some spur of the moment things right? I might have to try and do a Have-Done list because at the end of my work day I don’t feel as if I have accomplished any tasks. There are so many little things I get added to my list that things I need to do get pushed aside temporarily.
It seems also that Productive Strategies is a fairly new blog. There are one or two posts from the middle of 2006 but more have been added since and it seems he’s on a roll with it. I wish him best of luck in his strive for creating and maintaining great blog and will definitely follow along and read the various useful tidbits of information he has to offer.

Thanks! I like them too. Stephen was saying that I should of gone with my DOT COM domain and since I decided to, he said I should change it up a little bit.
I might change some more things around.
