Well it seems that John Chow (who can help you make money online) has come to his 35th batch of blog reviews. That’s right he has had 350 people review his site since he’s started this little marketing blitz and this would be review number 2 for myself. My first review was in the 11th batch but you can read it via this link: Who Is John Chow
Recently John has been doing a lot of ReviewMe posts, but that is because he offered a 50% discount on his ReviewMe price and a lot of people jumped at the chance.
Why am I doing another brief review of John’s Blog? Well I hope to see if John speaks the truth about increasing my Technorati rating by having a permalink on his website to mine. I do have a link buried somewhere and I was once one of the Top Commenter’s back in the day but another link wouldn’t hurt right?
One of the more recent posts John has done is the Google Ad Targeting which can be handy if you’re blog topics are all over the place kind of like mine are. Pretty much what you can do is set a particular HTML comment in the various locations that you would like Google to read from to base the AdSense ads. You can also tell Google’s Adsense to ignore parts as well. This seems to really fine tune it. I’ll have to try it later and see. My Google Adsense doesn’t really do well but I don’t really look into tweaking it much since my traffic doesn’t justify it yet.
Don’t forget to read the rules if you wish to do a review of John Chow’s blog.

Sounds like John has been anointed as the new lord of blogging…

I’d say he’s one of the bigger bloggers out there these days.

I recently saw your John Chow review (I’m an avid reader too) and came up with a similar back-linking scheme.
Since my site isn’t as popular as John’s (yet), instead of a link I’m actually offering an 80GB iPod Video in a back-linking raffle. You don’t even need to write a review. If you’re interested check out the rules.

Nothing wrong with the occasional self promotion
Contests, I think, are a great way to get your blog noticed and increase traffic flow for a bit. I would love to run a contest but I have nothing to give out.. yet.
I’ll have to think of something else then!
Thanks
