Advertising on TylerIngram.com

Writen By Tyler Ingram on Jul 11, 2007

Now I know blogging should not really be done for monetary purposes but I am always looking at different ways of adding a bit to my income to help pay for bills and get myself out of debt, so today I have created a little Advertising Page that will explain a little bit about the advertising options here on www.TylerIngram.com. Now if there is any interest out there for Text Link Ads or even a simple banner, I would definitely not gouge your wallet and would be happy to accommodate you with space in the allocated locations for advertising.

Now a lot of people don’t like advertising on websites because a lot of them get in the way of the content which is one reason I have taken off my Google AdSense Ads from the main page as well as the other Ad affiliates I have been using (I was also making no money from them too).

Why am I doing this? I am doing this more for a learning experience, I love to learn and advertising I am pretty new to. I would like to see how it works, what fails and what can do well.

Has anyone else had decent success with advertising on their website? It seems to be one of the main ways to monetize a website or blog these days and I am looking for your experiences and feedback on internet based advertising.

  • That is so awesome Tyler!!!! Congrats buddy – I am proud to hear that you have ditched the ad brokers and have gone ad-independent!

To answer your question, I have sold two of my spots – days after announcing that their available! Instantly more income then I had made in months!

Hopefully, you’ll get some fish to bit too!

  • I’m going to have to give this a try too. I need to come up with an advertising page, so will definitely check yours out as a reference. Hope you are successful selling the spots!

  • Thank you! I hope I can sell a few spots too and figure out how this internet advertising stuff works.

If anyone has suggestions I am listening!
