Well I’m not sure how up-to-date you are with authors and their pen names but somewhat recently Joe Hill has come out and said that he is the older son of Stephen King. Joe Hill’s real name is Jospeh Hillstrom King but wanted to stay anonymous and see how well he could do without his family name backing him up.
His most recent book, Heart-Shaped Box, which was titled after the great song done by Nirvana of the same name, is a story about and a heavy metal rocker who has a strange hobby of collecting really odd supernatural artifacts in this case a ghost.
Now I have only read the first few pages and I will definitely be reading the rest of the book to see how it compares to his father’s, then again I don’t think I’ve actually read any of Stephen King’s books but I have seen a lot of the movie adaptations with the more recent one being Desperation. Though with what I have read in the first few pages (and this is where it makes or breaks it for me in reading) I like what I have read and well look forward to reading the rest of it. I might even report back on with my thoughts about the book even though my book analytic skills are not the greatest, but I will say whether or not I enjoyed reading it and if I recommend it.
