Some of you out there might have heard the phrase ‘Best of 604′ over the past few weeks and if you’re curious as to what it is about well let me tell you, or attempt to.
Rebecca (Miss604) came up with an fun idea to promote popular blog sites in the Metro Vancouver area and thus Bestof604.com was created. The first stage of the Bestof604 was to nominate your favorite blog based on 14 different categories. After the nominating phase was done then she opened the polls and allowed people to vote on the sites which were nominated.
In the end there were over 6,000 votes made! Sounds better than our own election doesn’t it? I was nominated for a Best Photo Blog though I can’t remember if I nominated my own photo blog or not but it was cool seeing my site listed among great Vancouver photographers.

Robyn and I attended the awards ceremony which was held at a local bar called TheCellar. If you want to know what it is like in TheCellar, just picture a wine cellar in the bottom of an old 1950′s house. I’m sure its similar. Dimly lit, low ceiling etc.
Though I cannot recall who won which category but overall it was a lot of fun. Robyn and I both really enjoyed going and chatting with the various bloggers that attended.

Hopefully there will be more events like this in the future. I’d like to meet more Vancouver bloggers. So far I’ve only met you and Kimli in person.
Well, there were a bunch of other people at the meetup I went to where I met Kimli, but I don’t remember anybody else that I met. I think Darren Barefoot might have been there too.
