As I was checking over my Twitter feeds (using Hootsuite of course) I noticed that George Moen of Blenz tweeted that the Blenz location on Denman was reopening today at 3pm. I snatched my camera and headed over to my favourite little coffee place to check out what was going on. You see, this particular Blenz location has been closed for a little bit as they renovated the inside, so to hear about it being reopened and ready for business was a good thing to hear.
There was a cartoonist out front drawing people for free. Something I have not yet done myself but perhaps one day. A bunch of people were lined up waiting to have their picture drawn though. I love the sound of steel drums too.
Upon entering Blenz, right away I noticed how much more brightly lit the inside is, really warm and relaxing feeling actually. There even seems like there is more room. The decor has also changed slightly to be more bright and welcoming, well at least in my opinion.
I also notice that they updated the menu display; brightly lit, Samsung displays proudly show you the Blenzmenu, I of course choose a Mochachillo, which is a great treat in this Summer weather.
After briefly meeting Mr. George Moen he also mentioned that they beefed up the WiFi access. You can even access it better from the patio outside. Such a day like today, with the sun out, would be a perfect place to drink a Mochachillo and do some online work from the laptop.
I am glad that the Denman Street Blenz location has reopened and I look forward to dropping by for my various caffeine fixes.
