Blog Tag and it seems that I am it!
So it seems that I have been blog tagged by Stephen Fung and I too must mention 5 things that people do not know about me, or most don’t know about me anyway.
1) By birth I am a British Citizen as well as a Canadian Citizen. Even though I was born in Prince George British Columbia, my dad was born in Surrey England. I think Surrey is just south of London? Someone will have to confirm as I don’t feel like looking it up right now.
2) I have had plastic surgery. Well I don’t know if plastic or anything was involved but when I was little I had my ears pinned back. They stuck out too far and I used to get made fun of all the time. Something about Dumbo? Anyway my older sister would stick up for me, but it was decided on to fix it and so I got my ears fixed.
3) I have no appendix. That’s right that weird little thing that sticks out at the end of the large intestine that humans don’t seem to have a use for but cows use it to digest green veggies, well mine exploded! I spent a good deal of time in the hospital too and ran a fever of 104 degrees. I also found out I am allergic to catgut sutchers and they would not disolve, my incision would not heal and close up properly leaving me with a hole in my abdomen for roughly a year. Each week I would have to go back to the hospital to have Nitric Acid placed on the exposed flesh to burn it down and help the healing process. Well that did not work and eventually I had the surgery redone by a different doctor.
4) I fidget. I don’t know if I do it because I am nervous or it helps relax me, but I always seem to be doing something with my hands. I might be drumming along with a song, or I might pick some object up and just start playing with it.
5) I love the ocean and one day I hope to live next to it like I used to in Victoria. I love the call of Seagulls, the smell of sea salt and everything else about it. One of my favorite places is in Oregon a small tourist place called Lincoln City. It has the smallest river in the world called the D River, and the motel I used to love staying at is called the D-Sands Motel which backs right on to the great Pacific Ocean. If you’re ever travelling along the coast of Oregon, I would recommend staying at the little motel and enjoy the local shops that Lincoln City has to offer.
Ok so perhaps I went a little to far into 5 things that you didn’t know about me. But now I must pass the tag on over to Rod - Hey Rod, you’re it!!
