The past little while I mentioned how I owned a Sony Ericsson W580i and that it had a 2 megapixel camera built into it. The digital aspect of today’s cellphone cameras are not meant to replace those of an actual digital camera are they? The Sony Ericsson K850i has built in Cyber-shot technology with a resolution of 5 megapixels, but does that mean you can use this particular cellphone to … Continue Reading »

One thing that helps me get through my work day is the ability to listen to music. Now that I work in an open space office (no cubical, walls etc) listening to music at a decent level without distracting other people can be a bit tricky. This is where a personal MP3 player can come in handy.
For the past two years I have been using Apple iPod Nanos, actually I … Continue Reading »

Here in Vancouver the sun has been shining and the weather is getting closer to that of the summer season. So that means us Vancouverites stop wearing shoes with socks and look towards more open toed forms of footwear and in my case it was time for me to go to flip-flops.
Normally I have been using those sport sandals, you know the ones with the straps around the heel, ankle … Continue Reading »

Do you have small young children? Toddlers perhaps? If so do they ever go up to the computer and smash on the keyboard. It could inadvertently close that important presentation you were working on which could ruin your career. Or perhaps you need to somehow entertain a small child but don't want them to accidentally format your harddrive? Then Clicktoy: The Meadow might be what you're looking for.
What is Clicktoy: … Continue Reading »

Today I decided to walk to the local Subway (Eat Fresh) to pick up myself a tasty 12 inch sub for my dinner and since the weather was decent I thought I would take my new Sony Ericsson W580i and test out the 2.0 Mega Pixel camera that is built into it.
Now I am not expecting the greatest in quality for a 2.0 MP camera phone but it will definitely … Continue Reading »

I've been wanting to get a new cellphone for some time now and thought it would be a good time just to jump in and get a phone. Sure I researched a bit between the phones that are available and people's opinions about them but I also had to take into account my budget for a new phone.
I am a customer of Rogers Wireless (yea there are goods and bads) … Continue Reading »

One thing that I tend to do when I visit a website that peeks my interest is to check out the company that designed it, if they provide that information. Most of the time I will check out a web designer's website if their client site I am visiting looks great and I am curious as to what other websites they have in their portfolio, other times I want to … Continue Reading »

Before my trip to Vernon I was in need of reading the data off of the CompactFlash cards I have that I use with the Canon EOS 350D since transferring the photos from the camera to the computer was painfully slow with the supplied USB cable. I scoured the internet for a decent CompactFlash card reader and I managed to find one that was well priced and offered a few … Continue Reading »

Well it was time to try out a new MMORPG. What is that you might ask? A MMORPG is Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, though some people just like to shorten it down to MMOs. So out of the batch of MMOs which one have I decided to try out?
Well the title says it all: LotR Online or Lord of the Rings Online. This newly released game is based … Continue Reading »

If you remember back a few months ago I entered a contest for the chance to win some hardware made by Seagate: I need more storage so that... I didn't win first prize or second but I did manage to come in a place where I would get a small pocket drive and it finally arrived!
Inside the small brown cardboard box was a Seagate 8.0GB Pocket Hard Drive.
With the ability … Continue Reading »
