The kick off to this year’s Celebration of Light was Team USA. They seemed to have picked a lot of high-tempo jive/swing type music throughout the night and from what we saw, it alright. Granted being 16 floors up and further back, we didn’t really get to see much of the action down near the barge itself. I do like photographing the fireworks show from a different view though.

I have always enjoyed the large sun-burst type fireworks, especially when the soundwave of the explosion richochets off the surrounding buildings.
This coming Saturday (July 24th) will be Spain’s turn at wowing all the spectators. You can also expect to see much larger crowds too.
You can check out my other firework photos including more from last night’s event over on my Fireworks Photoset.

Great shots mate. I got caught in a really crap spot last night and hence no photos from me. Hoping to make it up on Sat and next week!

Where did you get stuck? It’s going to be insanely busy in the westend on Saturday. Usually twice as many people since it’s a weekend.
