As a blogging platform it's useless as images have to be hosted elsewhere, and generally it's very fiddly to use, half the time the preview facilities don't work. Visiting other MySpace pages is usually a nightmare - endless embedded videos, often all starting at once, garish backgrounds and a general assault on all one's aesthetic sensibilities. I have my own space as well at taurusjames.com. But since I'm sharing music with the world, any popular, no-cost outlet is great for exposure. Of course, myspace is not "my life" as it is with some of the kids and wannabes on that site. It's a tool that I make work for me. I use MySpace to help promote my instrumental music.

I agree with most of what you post here. I have my own space as well at taurusjames.com. But since I’m sharing music with the world, any popular, no-cost outlet is great for exposure.

Of course, myspace is not “my life” as it is with some of the kids and wannabes on that site. It’s a tool that I make work for me.
