First Newspaper Mention
Utilizing the powers of Twitter it seems that Buzz Bishop has written about Facebook and how people are using it to help organize their highschool reunions. My grad class actually did the same thing and by mentioning this to Buzz via Twitter he has included me in his column under the Technology category in the Vancouver’s Wednesday edition of the 24hrs.
It’s a pretty cool feeling to be included in print, though as for traffic to my blog I doubt it would bring any new viewers because of no mention of my site in the article and why would there be? Though nonetheless I think it’s cool to be mentioned somewhere other than in the online world and who knows, perhaps people will recognize it when they read Wednesday edition and say ‘Hey! I know Tyler!’ I know I do that when I recognize people in the local papers.

Hey, well it brought one new reader right here, because he linked your name to your site on the web version of the story
Oh hey Laura! Thanks for stopping by! Ah cool Buzz did link to me, that was nice of him!
congratulations. who didn’t use facebook to organize their reunion? way to jump on a bandwagon and get credit.
I know of a couple of years from my school that have not used facebook for their grad reunion. Not sure if I jumped on the bandwagon, though Buzz was just mentioning how people have used Facebook to create such an event which ultimately made it easier to reunite everyone (well most people anyway).
