Free Slurpees at 7-Eleven Stores
For those who could not get their hands on one of those covenant Apple iPhones that were released this past July 11 probably headed off to their local 7-Eleven convenience store after being disappointed by Rogers and cheered themselves up with a free 7.11oz Slurpee of their choice. I know I was looking forward to getting a free Slurpee though one thing I was a bit disappointed about was that they were smaller than the small size they normally have in stores. I guess it was free so I cannot complain right? It was pretty fun to see that on July 11, the 7-Eleven stores offered 7.11oz Slurpees right?

Now some people might know that 7-Eleven that they used to be called Southland Corporation but did you know they have been around since 1927? They changed their name to 7-Eleven in 1946 and then finally changed their corporate name over to 7-Eleven (from Southland Corp.) in 1999.

I remember when my dad worked for 7-Eleven, and no not a clerk either. He was in upper management (western regional manager or something) but we used to get a lot of free things from the various vendors including things like free BigGulps, free Slurpees, Canuck tickets etc. Those were the days, when a trailer of Coke or Pespi would stop in front of our house and drop off 10 flats of pop. The company picnics at Playland were great fun to.

Ah well, nowadays I just enjoy the occasional Slurpee from the West End 7-Eleven on a hot day like today. Did you get a Free Slurpee on July 11th?
