Googles Blog Search

Writen By Tyler Ingram on Mar 24, 2007

Now I found an interesting comment on Dan’s website under his post about his quest to increase his organic traffic from Technorati. The comment that was left by Sprague Dawley mentions that it would be better to get your presence known on Google’s Blog Search than rely on traffic from Technorati.

Google's Blog Search in Beta - Like most things with Google

What is Google’s Blog Search?
Well according to the FAQ it is a technology that focuses on blogs that should help people search information on blogs more effectively.

A search for my name brings back a few results.

It works just like the regular Google search does but it looks for RSS and ATOM feeds to base its search from. If you don’t think you’re currently being index by Google’s Blog Search then you can take a look at Google’s Blog Search Pinging Service which works like all the other ping services out there for bloggers.

So will this be another service that people will try and race to the top of to get within the first page on particular keywords? I’m sure it is!
