Harris Landing: Pitt Meadows

Yesterday was one of first sunny days we have had in a while here in Vancouver so I thought I would go out and go for a walk with my new digital camera. Though since the sun starts to set pretty quick during this time of year I couldn’t go to the places I wanted to so I settled for staying a bit closer to my house; Harris Landing in Pitt Meadows.

What most people don’t know is that this place has been here ever since my family first moved to Pitt Meadows back in 1988. It has only been recently with the city of Pitt Meadows has decided to money into it so that the new residential development may now enjoy what was already there. They’ve laid gravel along the paths that run along the Fraser River. They have also placed benches at a few points along the way.
