A side effect is that quite a community builds around my notebook, adding more useful resources. As far as the poll goes - I'm probably a 'sharing news' I blog for two reasons. Firstly it gives me an obvious place to note my thoughts and collect resources on a subject I love. Secondly, it makes me focus on the quality of those notes – as they are public – in a way I wouldn’t if it were a closed document.
