One of the features of the iPhone 4 (or perhaps iOS 4?) is the ability to take HDR photos. Though with the iPhone, it takes 2 separate exposures as opposed to 3 or more like you would with an dSLR. It doesn’t do a bad job, sometimes they turn out alright or at least decent. I do find that combining the iPhone HDR photos with the Clarity filter from the Camera+ app you can get them to display a bit more of a dynamic range.
I took the above photo during Game 6 as I walked home from work. Within the span of about 15 minutes the Bruins did manage to score 4 goals, while the Canucks scored 0. I was glad they were able to at least score twice on Thomas which denied him his shutout.
I’m just blazing on home after work, not wanting to stay around downtown during Game 7. I am sure there will be a lot of great photographic oppurtunities, but I just don’t want to have to deal with crowds today. Could be worse too if the Canucks lose (not that they are going to!).
