Photo of the Day: Pacific White-Sided Dolphin

Where you expecting to see a wild dolphin? Unfortunately, I do not have photos of them in the wild, but I have seen them swimming along side a cruise ship I took up to Alaska one year.

The above photo is of one of the three Pacific White-Sided dolphins at the Vancouver Aquarium. You’ll notice the front fins are deformed, as this particular dolphin was caught up in a fishing net when it was found. According to the Vancouver Aquarium show for the dolphins, the three were rescued but were deemed unfit to be re-released into the wild.
