I finally got the chance to sneak out the other day with my camera after work when the weather was alright. I wandered around Vancouver looking at that various boarded up windows from the aftermath of the stupid Vancouver Riot. People assume it was because of the Canucks losing game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, but it wasn’t. It was a small group of individuals who wanted to cause a disturbance after the game no matter the outcome. With 100,000 people situated in a small area of Vancouver, mod mentality took over. The result, our beautiful city being tuned ugly.
Anyway, I walked around the downtown core for a few hours snapping only a small amount of photos. I will post a few more in a later post, but for now I thought I would share this one of one of WestCoast Air’s DeHavilland Twin Otter seaplanes. I took this from Canada Place as it prepared to take off from Coal Harbour en-route to one of many destinations they flight to.
