Photo Walk: Stanley Park, Vancouver
Well it has been a while since I last posted (well except for the picture of the Osprey) but I thought that people would like to see a glimpse of one of many Vancouver icons, mainly Stanley Park and the Seawall that runs around the outer perimeter.
Now due to the massive wind storm that Vancouver had a few months back, you are no longer able to walk around the entire Seawall, in fact you get blocked just before Lion’s Gate Bridge and it stays blocked until Third Beach.
If you are ever in the Vancouver area, mainly the Downtown Core, I would totally recommend you set aside some time and visit our lovely Stanley Park and the spectacular beauty it shares with hundreds of thousands each year.

Canada Place, the Harbour Centre and the new Convention Center (being built)

Not a Mermaid like that in Denmark but a Female Diver

Begining of where the Seawall is closed – Didn't stop me, the tide was out!

Typical Tourist shot of Lion's Gate Bridge heading into North Vancouver

Tourist type shot of the Orca Whale outside of the Vancouver Aquarium

An oak tree on a high-rise in English bay – I want one of those Condos!

English Bay Beach (First Beach?) – Yes Vancouver does have beaches!

My yacht (yea I wish), one of many marinas in Vancouver

The Boathouse at English Bay – Vancouver – Definitely worth checking out!
So those are a few of the photos I took. Hopefully they give you a more intimate look at what Vancouver has to offer both residents and visitors. If you ever are in English Bay, I do recommend stopping over at the Boathouse for a nice frosty beverage (their Bellini’s are awesome!) and a bite to eat before tackling the beaches out front. Also having a nice relaxing dinner there while the sun sets is one of my favorite things to do (yes they have an outside patio that over looks the beach).

Great pics..I love stanley park. I haven’t been there in awhile though.
It does look different with all the fallen trees. They are still trying to clean up the park and parts are still closed because of the devastation.
But generally it is still a beautiful (somewhat busy) place.
Great pictures but maybe you can use photoshop to give more color or to crop someones better.
You mean give more colour as in deepen the blues? I can do basic picture manipulation. What would you suggest I do?
Vancouver is such a wonderful place, I hope to see it again soon your photos makes me miss the city!
Nice photos. I hope to go to Vancouver one day
Another thing about Vancouver besides the beauty that people might not know unless they have been here is the food: lots of people believe that it’s one of the best areas for multicultural food.
I would have to definitely agree about the multicultural food comment. Vancouver being as diverse in culture as it is definitely has the restaurants to offer someone food from all points around the world. Especially Commercial Drive, there is one street that is multicultural and definitely has many different types of restaurants!
