Photos From Today

Written By Tyler Ingram on Dec 22, 2009

It has stopped raining here in Vancouver, but the clouds are still present. According to Weather.ca we are in for a nice sunny set beginning tomorrow.

It is currently 3 days till Christmas, 4 days until Robyn and I are off to Costa Rica, 5 days till my 30th birthday and a bunch of other stuff. It is going to be fairly hectic over the next couple days as we visit family for Christmas and get ready for our trek to Puerto Viejo.

Alright, back to the photos today. The lighting was meh, though there were some interesting aspects of my walk around Lost Lagoon today.

You Lookin At Me?

I’m always trying to get great photos of Bald Eagles, but they seem to tease me relentlessly. This guy was high up in a tree near Second Beach. I heard his call over and over again and went to look for him.

Just Above

Another thing I am always trying, is to capture birds in flight. Mainly the various water fowl that resides at Lost Lagoon. Not bad with this particular shot, though a wee bit underexposed. One sunny day I’ll get my price BIF (Bird In Flight) photo!

Resting...

This is a bit odd to see at Lost Lagoon. I was wondering why there were a ton of Seagulls flying in a large group in circles. Not quite sure what happened to this particular fellow, but I just thought it weird to see a seagull lying in the water without a mark on him. Poor guy.

So these are the highlights from my photowalk today. If the weather is truly better tomorrow, I am sure I’ll head back out with my camera in hand. Perhaps I’ll wander more into Stanley Park and try to spot some owls.
