Pictures In The Snow

Written By Tyler Ingram on Jan 10, 2007

I went for a small walk at lunch to the river front, and small I only mean it took 5 minutes to get there.  Yes I did have to trudge through the snow which is roughly a few inches but I did manage to get to my destination.

The following are a few images from the banks of the mighty Fraser River!

You might not be able to see it in the above photo but that is the construction for the new bridge that will connect Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge to Langley via 200 street.  They are calling it the Golden Ears Bridge and Translink will be placing a toll on it of $2.50 each way. The bridge will definitely be handy for people who need to commute since they will no longer go across the Port Mann Bridge in Coquitlam and Surrey. Will this alleviate traffic in the area during peak times?

Hopefully Pitt Meadows has been plowing their roads else I won’t be able to make it up the hill to get home!

Thanks for the pictures, I haven’t been down there in awhile.

Beautiful pictures Tyler! Maybe you should set up a flickr account and upload your pictures there – then you could add a link back to your blog (even the specific blog post where you talk about the pictures) with every picture. That should get you some extra traffic.

It has also been snowing a lot here in Iceland the last few days… there is always something fascinating about the snow :)

Perhaps I’ll take a look over at Flickr again, thanks for the suggestion!

Oh Iceland eh? One place I’d like to check out in my life time.

Bill: The area where my employeer works they are builing all these new homes along the water. They are also putting in a small shopping district too.
