Post Secret Minneapolis

Writen By Tyler Ingram on Jan 20, 2009

When Robyn and I were over in Minneapolis in October of last year visiting friends for a wedding, Robyn mentioned that the local library was to have a Post Secret exhibit while we were in town and wanted to see it. So we did just that.

What is Post Secret? Well it is a collection of post cards, letters, photos etc that people have sent in with their darkest secrets. Sent in anonymously of course. Some of the sent in secrets are ruthless and cruel, some are sad but there are some that are good or positive.

The website itself releases new secrets once a week and many people can be seen on Monday mornings in their offices reading the latest that the anonymous people send in. Though it is also nice to see that Post Secret exhibits around the US at various locations and displays secrets not released on the Internet. Perhaps one day they will being their exhibit up north here to Canada?

Since I was a bit shy and didn’t think I should take photos of an exhibit, Robyn decided to take the camera and take photos. Some of the highlights from the Post Secret  Exhibit:

I don’t do this, though people think otherwise.

Overall it was a pretty good exhibit. The other couple that we were with (Stephanie and Ryan) had not heard of Post Secret before but found the exhibit to be quite interesting and enjoyed reading them.

Do you keep a secret? Is it good enough to make it to the webpages of Post Secret?

You can see a few more of the photos Robyn took of the exhibit over at my Post Secret Flickr set.
