Recent Blog Cleaning
Some of you might have noticed that I’ve been implementing some small changes to my blog and doing it on the fly as well so on a page refresh something might be different. This is all in the name of blog maintenance.
What have been some of the recent changes?
- I moved the Home, About, Contact links to the header of the blog which allowed me to shift the left column items up a bit.
- I moved the Welcome Back block (for those who have left comments) to the top of the left column and added a small counter as to how many comments you have posted. I thank you.
- I have also updated my PHP/MySQL Polling system a little bit. I cleaned up the graphical bars with some nice little gradient and adding some padding around it to make it a bit more presentable.
- I also tweaked the administrative features so that they can be easier to customize if I ever decent to convert this into a blog that other people can use and install on their own. Though a lot of the administrative parts are still manually done, but it doesn’t bother me. For now…..
- I also changed the location for the Digg This!, Stumble It! And Technorati favorite links, they are now center aligned at the bottom of each post, making it a bit easier to read and see.
If anything seems out of whack or you have a suggestion I am all for hearing them and seeing how I can implement them. I am looking at implementing the ability to track Link-Backs and such because it would be nice to see who is linking to what, and to allow people to see that I am linking to them.
Moving around the site, everything seems to run great! looks good!

Like the new look. Subtle changes are always better. Not like mine, which seem to include random theme changes
Random theme changes aren’t bad it just means you want something better and you’re into taking care of your site and wanting to improve.
Your blog is awesome, love the layout and features… I just wanted to tell you that the Welcome box at the top left has a slight CSS bug in Firefox… the line “Comments: 1″ overlaps the line “Subscribe to my”
DotSauce: What version of firefox are you running? I am running 2.* and it doesn’t overlap. I will look at the code though and see what might be causing it.

Oh wait I think I know what it is.. it’s because the name you are using is so long and its overflowing! I’ll fix that in the morning thanks again!
