Small Coal Harbour Photowalk

Written By Tyler Ingram on May 20, 2011

The great thing about being downtown Vancouver is the abundance of things you can photograph. Since the past few days have been sunny and warm, I thought it best to bring my camera along with me. After all, I walk to work everyday, rain or shine. I do find it odd of me though, when I go on a photowalk I end up not taking very many photos, especially if I have walked the same route over and over again. Perhaps I am not trying hard enough to find new things to photograph?

Anyway, here are some of my photos from yesturdays walk.

The above image, the guy doing a flip off the cement wall, is a place where I’ve seen a lot of different things happening lately. One day there was a bride and groom getting photos done, another day there were skateborders doing tricks with a buddy of their doing action photography and then yesterday this guy was doing little parkour things.

HDR

I did try to do a few HDR (HighDynamicRange) photos as well. Though without a tripod I try and keep the camera as steady as possible. I even set it to continuous or burst mode.
