Sun Rise in Pitt Meadows

Written By Tyler Ingram on Jun 10, 2009

It has been a while (well more than a week) since I’ve physically been at our office in Pitt Meadows. Though being that we’re in the Summer season, the sun sure likes to pop its head out very early.

Typically when I drive to the office (twice a week) I leave our place in the WestEnd at 5:00AM. I reach Pitt Meadows within 20-30 minutes at which time the Sun has peaked over the top of Golden Ears Mountain.

I haveĀ  mentioned in past posts that there is a small group of Coyotes that live near our office amongst the forested area and since the construction of the new Golden Ears Bridge and the adjacent roads I have not recently seen them. It’s been a few months anyway since I’ve seen any of the Coyotes until this morning.

Each time I drive by the farm area I always look over into the fields to see if I can spot one of the 4 Coyotes that norally live in the area. Today I saw one lonely Coyote going through the field closest to our building.

Lonely Coyote

The bottom left side of the photo you can see the lonely little coyote. I of course was standing quite far back as the photo was taken at 200mm. One day I’d love to get really close to one of them. I also hope they survive the construction that is going on around them as their livable area shrinks.

That being said, here are two other photos I took as the sun rose over the Golden Ears Mountain.

As per usual, you can also click on the photos above which will pop-up or overlay a larger photo at 800 pixels wide.
