I've seen a few skunks running around too and really try not to get close to them. I have yet to see any bears and I've heard there are one or two in Stanley Park.

I tend to see more wildlife (of the four-legged variety) downtown too. I've only seen two skunks in my life, and they were both in the West End.

First one I almost got with my car, but thankfully missed. Second one was just walking down an alley and I pointed it out to my wife. She thought it was a funny looking cat until she took a closer look. Then she realized what it actually was.
