That’s Right, We’re Back!
Finally, after a horrible storm here which gave 200,000+ residents of Vancouver with no power, we're back up and running.
The webserver died, both the motherboard and power supply, but I was able to my hands on another machine so I could get the webserver up.
The storm that hit Vancouver (and the Lower Mainland) was a nasty one, the winds were roughly 100KM/H and nothing but rain. The water reservoirs of the North Shore are still not safe leaving a large amount of Vancouverites with brown water.
With a Boil Water advisery water sales are through the roof let alone trying to find bottled water anywhere is an adventure in itself.
Luckly the Coquitlam Reservoir has no advisery on it and is safe to drink (for now). It is still raining and not supposed to let up for a while.
