The Cold is terrible, with more Snow to follow

It seems that 9 people have been poisoned by Carbon Monoxide due to the use of outdoor gas heaters that have been brought indoors.  Are people seriously that initelligent?  Would you ever bring your Outdoor BBQ indoors and use that? Wait, that has been done!

It seems that due to the power outages caused by the snow and cold people were bringing inside their outdoor gas heaters which of course is bad because the exhaust from the gas produces Carbon Monoxide which is really not good for you in confined spaces.

Hopefully BCHydro can restore power to the some odd 17,000 residents of the Greater Vancouver Region so that people can heat themselves up again.

You can read more about it in the article posted on the VancouverSun.com website.

It also seems that this afternoon Vancouver is expected to receive another 6 inches (10-15cm) of snow in the afternoon and continue over through Thursday.  Some of you might think that this isn't much compaired to other places around the world but we're a location that normally sees rain and very, very little snow.  The entrie Lower Mainland will shutdown while people take shelter in their homes where they don't have to worry about bad drivers crashing into them on the roads.
