It seems that in the next little bit we would have had roughly 100mm of rain over the last like 12hrs. There are large puddles all over the place its crazy but fun!
It seems there was an accident on the Pitt River Bridge on Sunday morning at roughly 230am. Two vechicles, a white car, and a red pickup truck, decided they would race across the bridge. Well the red pickup decided to pass a white pickup, clipped it horribly and the red pickup went flying into the guardrail and into the river. The front-end of the white pickup was smashed pretty good. The white car was no where to be seen and either didn't know what happened, or decided not to stick around.
Hours later the RCMP was able to fish the red pickup out of the river and reported that no one was in the vechicle. Either they got out and swam to shore, or they got out, didnt make it out of the frigid water and got swept down river.
This ordeal had closed the East Bound lanes of the Pitt River Bridge up until late Sunday Evening. Alot of motorists were upset and wait times were anywhere between 45mins to 2hours. Luckly there were able to fix the bridge and allow traffic before Monday Morning which would of been horrible for commuters travelling West bound.
Another serious accident left two people dead in Burnaby on Sprott Rd. near Canada Way.
