Twittering Twits

Writen By Tyler Ingram on Apr 09, 2008

Lately I’ve been hearing more and more about Twitter and curious what it would be like to actually use my account I set up a while ago. I forget when I first heard about Twitter but I thought about actually using it when I thought about what Twitter is.

Twitter is an interesting social application developed by a bunch of people in San Francisco. I guess really the shortened explanation of Twitter would be an application in which you can update friends, colleagues and random people frequently about what you’re currently doing or thinking about throughout your day.

Twittering Twits?

Twitter seems to have many uses and so far it’s pretty interesting. You can notify your followers (that wouldn’t make us twits would it?) on what you’re doing, you can create polls to see what other people think or even update people on new blog posts etc. Come to think of it, Facebook’s status feature reminds me a lot of Twitter, of course Facebook does a lot more but its status updates are relatively the same.

Current I like using Twitter and I use the iGoogle’s gadget BeTwittered so that when I check my RSS feeds I can also be kept up-to-date with the happenings of whom I am following and of my followers. I invite you to follow me on Twitter and to have a glimpse into my online life as it unfolds every day.
