I've always liked Samsung (I've reviewed a few of their monitor back in the day for <a href="http://www.futurelooks.com" rel="nofollow">Futurelooks</a> and I was going to by the LG 20.1 LCD but the store I was looking at didn't have any in stock and they were not planning on replenishing for a few weeks. I’ve normally have had positive experienecs with Viewsonic but unfortunately with their Optiquest line this has put a bad notch in my books for their brand.

I’ve always liked Samsung (I’ve reviewed a few of their monitor back in the day for Futurelooks and I was going to by the LG 20.1 LCD but the store I was looking at didn’t have any in stock and they were not planning on replenishing for a few weeks.

That's of course going by what I hear as I've never actually used one. Speaking from experience I highly praise LG monitors. I have a 20.1 inch widescreen Flatron from LG and it's wicked. It's such a good monitor I can't even notice a difference when switching between DVI and VGA input. It has a 2000:1 contrast ratio which is pretty rare and responds very fast.
