Weekend Road Trip to Vernon, BC
Well today is the day, I’ve been trying to be patient about waiting for it but it is finally here, my weekend road trip up to Vernon, British Columbia.
Now you might be asking why am I going up to Vernon? I have a friend there who wants me to visit (and I want to visit) while she is working up there for the week and I thought why not? I am in need of a little mini escape and I thought it would be a fun drive as well as a fun weekend.
I am taking most of my electronic gadgets with me too.
Canon EOS 350D - I love photography and this way I’ll get to take pictures. The weather is supposed to be sunny.
Compaq Presario Laptop - How else am I supposed to store all the photos I am taking? My hotel also has wireless internet access so I’ll be able to hop on the internet from time to time, this will also allow Tia to check her email while I’m visiting.
Apple iPod Nano - Combine this with a Belkin FM Transmitter that Rod allowed me to borrow for the weekend and my driving won’t be so lonely when I get out of the range of our local Radio stations I normally listen to in the car.
I have other gizmos as well, a 175W power inverter for the car so I can plug the laptop in, a nGear Card Reader/ USB Hub so I can upload the photos from the camera to the Laptop (I’ll be doing a review on this on my return), my Blackberry (7250 I think) for access to my office email, and of course my Motorola Razr though I’ll probably stick with the Blackberry because the company pays for that.
So I’m just tying up some loose ends and finishing my little packing spree but I shall be on the road within the next 2 hours. Yay!

Sounds fun. I’ve subscribed to your feed, so I’ll be looking forward to seeing some of the pictures you take (if you make a post about it).
Hey thanks for coming by. I have a couple of photos (surprisingly I haven’t taken very many) and will look at uploading them either tonight or Tuesday when I can.
