Welcome to Wordpress
Alright well I’ve made the jump into Wordpress and I’ve tried to create a theme similar to my custom blog so that the transition would be somewhat seamless. I think I did an decent job at recreating it since it’s my first time trying to create a theme and have ensure it has the same functionality as my custom blog script.
There might be a couple issues and I will be working on them as I get used to a Wordpress environment, but it should go fairly smooth.
Possible Issues:
- Comments - Not sure if they are layed out the way I want them to be, but they should be functional. I will be looking at adding the MyBlogLog Avatars back in.
- Contact Page - I quickly found a Plugin for WP by Doug Karr. I’ll be looking at sprucing it up a bit more as well. It does work because I just got a notice on my account saying I have new mail from it. yay
- Advertise Here - I have to recreate my Advertising page.
I will also be fixing some of the styling issues that I still have but I thought I would make the switch so that I can get back into the blogging action and write posts. The nice thing about using WP as a blog engine is the many options that allow me to write post from various locations. I could even look at using something like LiveWriter to write posts without having me use a the web-based editor.
If you find some issues, please don’t hesitate to tell me about them. You can either contact me, or leave a comment.

Making sure comments work! lol
Great job, Tyler! It will be a move that you won’t be disappointed with! And thanks for the link love.
Doug
Link love is always good! Now to make my desk more work efficient so that I can work on doing the last little touches to my CSS file etc.
