Alright we’ve moved, no I do not mean my blog site www.tyleringram.com but Robyn and I have moved to our new place. The great thing is it’s only 2 floors up from her previous location so moving her items was not that stressful. Granted if we didn’t have help from one of our friends I doubt we would have ever gotten the couch into the elevator let alone maneuver it into our new apartment.
I am officially a resident of the West End of Vancouver and pretty happy about it so far. We’re both pretty excited to be sharing a place together.
I just have some furniture from my previous place to move over here but I gave them noticed December 1st so that it gives my brother and I time to move our stuff out. It should be good for me anyway since it seems this month will be really busy. I need all the time to get my stuff organized and moved out along with being able to tie up any loose ends too.
I look forward to being a resident of the West End and I hope I can attend more social events that I see happen frequently amongst the local blog scene. Robyn and I are also excited for the closeness of Cypress for the both of us too for this winter season. The commute up to Whistler will also be shorter for me as well!
One thing I was looking forward to is getting my computer setup out of the bedroom and into it’s own proper place. The photo above shows the location of my desk and computers which will be my primary working area for telecommuting from work and whatever else floats my way. I plan on taking on more freelance work as my work environment at home will be much more enjoyable. I get views of Cypress Mountain as well as English Bay, I just have to wait for the clouds to part.
Once we get my furniture moved in and our place organized I am sure I’ll get photos of the rest of it up too. I’ve always wanted to live in an apartment and what better way than living in the West End of Vancouver?
Now just to set up the wireless for Robyn’s laptop and my 3G iPhone and we’ll be properly ‘connected’ once again.

Congrats on the successful move. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the proximity to everything, because you really can walk to anything that you’d need.
I do have one pretty significant suggestion though. You need a new chair. A proper office chair. Your back will thank me later.
Oh, and one more thing:
“Alright we’ve moved, no I do not mean my blog site http://www.tyleringram.dot but…”
Don’t you mean .com and not .dot?

Tyler Ingram December 1st, 2008 at 14:21:16[Link]
Thanks Michael! Yea I mean dot Com not dot dot. yea I do need a proper chair. I’ll be looking at picking up a nice new ergonomical one hopefully soon. I spend like 10 hours a day in front of the damn computer so I should at least invest in a good one. Now if only they had more DotComPho’s near the downtown core!

The problem with holding DCP by the downtown core is parking. No matter where we go, it needs to have good (free) parking available.

@Dan Thanks!
@Michael yea that is true. Well once I get settled I’ll need to get going to them again, i miss the Pho! too bad you’re soo far away

Wooohoo! Congratulations Tyler
Looks like it was successful… I think I can see a nice view there behind the clouds!
Nice dual screens… I’m hoping to upgrade at home soon. After working all day at work on two screens, just one seems almost impossible to work with at home!

I am so very jealous.
Partially because you’ve moved downtown, and partially because I’m so close to moving downtown too
.
Congrats, dude!

@VancityAllie – I have troubles working on single screens now, I need at least 2. Though I am sort of finding my 19’s a bit small lol.. I’d love to have 24″+ screens!
@Sean where abouts are you moving to?

Congrats on the successful move. Now just have to get yourself some furniture so it’ll start feeling like home.

Tyler Ingram December 3rd, 2008 at 06:06:23[Link]
@urbandweller thanks! Also appreciate the comment on the reviews lol – From where abouts did you stumble upon my little area of the net?
@tawcan Ah yes, I just have to start moving my furniture into the place which starts today after work. Need to do some disassembling, packing car, then reassembling! Once my furniture is in we can organize and make it feel less cluttered.

I was walking this morning at 7 am on my way to the Pan Pacific and it occurred to me that we could do a Tweetup to celebrate your successful move!
