After checking it out at an Apple store, I decided that it wouldn't be able to take the beating that I would give it, so I ended up going with a 17" MacBook Pro. Other than that I did hear there are plans for an Apple Store in the Pacific Centre Mall downtown before the Olympics are in town for 2010. I've got a 19" toshiba laptop which may as well be a desktop cause its too big to take anywhere. I think because I have a desktop and already own portable usb drives the non-existing drives wouldn't be a problem for me. I also would throw on linux.
